Food and Restaurants

Ray & Jeannette Parker being served by Chef Ryan Mendoza and Char Connett (Dining Services Manager)

Here at Gambrill Gardens we value the importance of our food program immensely.   Food is more than just sustenance – it’s the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle and social engagement.

Eating well-balanced and nutritious food is essential for everyone at all ages. Daily food choices can make an important difference in your health and in how you look and feel.

Eating a well-planned, balanced mix of foods every day can help manage multiple chronic physical conditions.  Healthy eating reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, bone loss, some kinds of cancer, and anemia. If you already have one or more of these chronic diseases, eating well and being physically active may help you better manage them. Healthy eating can also reduce high blood pressure, lower high cholesterol, and manage diabetes.

At Gambrill Gardens our chefs source foods from the finest local vendors. Fresh seasonal produce is delivered daily and prepared specially for each meal. New menus are crafted each week with an emphasis on seasonal and locally available produce. Gambrill Gardens takes pride in our approach to cooking by introducing modern techniques to traditional recipes. We serve a wide variety of food items that are sure to please the palates of connoisseurs while remaining approachable to all.

Studies have shown therapeutic benefits in sharing a meal and the social interactions meal times bring.  At Gambrill Gardens our residents enjoy the social aspect of our onsite restaurant as many see this as an excuse for social interaction, to reflect upon the day or recent events in the news.    Cliched conversations about everyday activities often lead to discussions of the serious –politics, memories, family, and of course baseball.

Chef Ryan and his team are always available to talk food and define new flavors- or refine classics. Nutrition is paramount and there are many specialized diet plans to choose from. We cater to your food allergies or needs:

  • Sugar Free
  • No Sugar Added
  • Low Sugar
  • Low Sodium
  • Gluten-Free
  • Dairy Free
  • Vegetarian

We invite you and your families to come dine with us and meet our staff and residents.  Call our leasing team today to schedule ‘a reservation’.

LOGOSince 1992, Fabulous Fish has been providing the finest St. Louis and Kansas City restaurants, clubs, hotels and other dining facilities with the highest quality fresh and frozen fin and shellfish from around the world.   With an eye toward sustainability, we offer organic, MSC certified and BAP certified freshwater and saltwater products.
CompanionBrown-BMB-NEWAt Companion, we’ve been making craft breads and pastries since we pulled our first baguette from our stone oven in late 1993. By focusing on the 4C’s – our Companions, our Customers, our Community and our Company – we have built a small bakery with strong reputation for doing things right.

We’re in the business of baking bread. But we’re also in the business of supporting small growers and producers, encouraging sustainability, pushing culinary limits, even fostering friendships. To us, the creative process and the many people it touches along the way are as important as the loaf itself.
